Azarian Gymnastics News

A local gymnast from Azarian US Gymnastics Training Center competed this past weekend at the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs and placed 1^st place in a National Competition, and is now the new 10 yr. old National Champion!

Marty Strech, a level 6 gymnast at Azarian US Gymnastics Training Center, competed Saturday, November 10, 2007 in Colorado Springs, Colorado at the USA National Future Star Championships.

There are no individual awards at this event, just the Team and Camp recognition.  The top 18 boys (in the 10 yr. old division) make the USA National Development Team and the top 9 of those boys get a National Team Training Camp.  There are 2 other divisions, 11 yr. old and 12 yr. old.

Marty, whom World and Olympic gold medalist Eduard Azarian coaches, will get to go to a National Team Training Camp next summer for one week back at the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO.
