For the Azarian US Gymnastics Training Center’s girl’s level 5 team, this past weekend was one of the best weekends of their career as gymnasts.

Level 5 State Championships were held at Citrus College in Glendora, CA on Saturday, November 10, and Sunday, November 11, 2007. At this competition were over 60 teams from around California that had qualified to compete from a previous competition.

The entire Azarian girl’s team did exceptionally well taking 5^th place overall in the team competition. Some of the highlights were Callie Riel, (age), who took 2^nd place All-Around in her age division, Mikayla Kelly, (age), who won Bars with a score of 9.450 and placed 7^th All-Around, and Kaylie Davies,(age), and Hunter Littlejohn,(age), also did amazing, getting some of the highest score throughout the entire competition and placing 1^st and 2^nd All – Around in their age division.

Overall this was one of the most successful State Championships that the girls’ team have had in a while. The girls are coached by Jenni Fulton, Dillon Reeve, head coach, Perry Davies, and Jacqueline Donnelly.
