LOCAL BOYS GYMNASTICS TEAM CONQUERS IN RIVERSIDE

Azarian U.S. Gymnastics Boys Team Level’s 4-7 had an amazing competition this weekend in Riverside County.

Aliso Viejo, December, 10, 2006:  Azarian U.S. Gymnastics Training Center in Aliso Viejo had their first official Boy’s Team Competition called the 1st Prelim in Riverside County on Saturday December 9, 2006. All the boys’ level 4-7, both competed and conquered at the meet.

All the boys just started their competition season, and have many exciting meets to look forward to. This year, they will have an invitational in Arizona in January, in February, some of our boys will go to Black Jack Invitational in Las Vegas, and the Regional competition for those that qualify will be in Hawaii.

All the boys had an incredible meet, and most of them beat their own personal records. For our new Level 4’s, it was their first competition ever. They had a great time, and all received ribbons. These boys were Max Bienert, Jake Greenberg, Christian Spaeth, Connor and Gehrig Urbano, and Tyler Williams. Good work boys!

Our Level 5, 6 and 7 boys also had an amazing meet. Some of the top scores for Level 5’s were: Joey Ringer, placed 1st All-Around in his age group, Christopher Diem, placed 2nd All-Around, Jay Yeam with a 9.050 on Vault, Peter Menke with a 9.100 on Vault, Alden Hagopian who placed 5th on Floor, Travis Tossey placing 15th All-Around, Cole Riel got a 9.250 on Vault, Remy Wasserbach placed 9th on P. Bars, Mark Lohde placed 1st on P. Bars with a score of 9.500, Josh Menke placed 1st on Vault with a score of 9.450, Adam Nelson received a 9.150 on Vault, Tyler Sommer got a 9.000 on Vault, Cody Thompson with a 8.90 on Vault, and Someel Pagara with a 9.00 on Vault.

For our Level 6 boys some of the best scores included: Marty Strech who placed 1st on every event and 1st All – Around, CJ Litton placed 2nd All – Around, Bryan Falzetti placed 3rd All-Around, and Kyle Harper placed 4th All-Around.

For Level 7, the scores were: Adam Young, who placed 1st All-Around, and Kevin Tran placed 1st on Pommel Horse, which is arguably the hardest event in men’s gymnastics. Brion Kerry, placed 1st All-Around, Brandon Peters placed 6th All-Around, and Jeremiah Delayo received a 9.250 on Floor.
